Day 01 – Arrival in Delhi – by international flights
Upon arriving at the Indira Gandhi International Airport of Delhi, our FortShila representative will greet you with a traditional welcome. Then, you will be escorted to your vehicle and taken to your pre-booked hotel for the night. Check in, take your first day off, and relax. Enjoy a scrumptious dinner and prepare for an awesome next day.
Day 02 – Delhi
After a luscious breakfast, we begin your guided tour by visiting India’s biggest Mosque, Jama Masjid.
We’ll then drive past Red Fort and enjoy the rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi, the perfect place to experience old architecture, winding lanes, and interesting shops.
Afterwards, visit Raj Ghat, a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi who is the father of our nation. From here, it’s a short drive to India Gate. This beautiful Gate was built during the British era. This Gate was erected in the memory of the brave 70,000 soldiers who showed extreme valor and sacrificed their lives in World War 1.
Later, visit Humanyun’s Tomb, a marvelous example of Persian-inspired Mughal architecture. Finally, visit Qutub Minar which is the world’s tallest minaret. Head back to the hotel for a palatable dinner and an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 03 – Delhi – Agra
Enjoy a wholesome breakfast. Today we’ll drive south towards Agra to witness the architectural wonders of the golden age of Mughals.
En route, we’ll stopover at Sikandara Fort. Set in the suburbs of Agra, the town is home to Shah Jahan’s grandfather Mughal Emperor Akbar’s mausoleum.
Later, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Relish a flavorsome dinner and an overnight stay in Agra.
Day 04 – Agra
After a toothsome breakfast, visit the exquisite Taj Mahal. You will be amazed by its ethereal beauty and architectural finesse. It is a symbol of eternal love that stands on the southern bank of the Yamuna River. It was built by the 5th Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan, in the memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, who died in the 16th century. The charisma of the Taj Mahal never fails to impress given its beautiful symmetry and white marble inlays.
Next, we’ll visit the Agra Fort – a blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture – originally built by the Rajput’s and renovated from time to time by different Mughal emperors with red sandstone, bricks and beautiful white marble. The Fort can more accurately be described as a walled palatial city. Witness the vivacious Light & Sound Show at Agra Fort (if operational).
Later spend the evening visiting the local market, and shop for some souvenirs.
Head back to the hotel for a scrummy dinner and an overnight stay in Agra.
Day 05 – Agra – Jaipur
Enjoy an early appetizing breakfast, pack your bags, and get ready to depart for Jaipur, the picturesque capital of Rajasthan. Stop over at Fatehpur Sikri, the first planned Mughal city that sports several interesting sights. Start by exploring the mighty Buland Darwaza, one of the largest doorways in the world. Move on to experience the amazing sights of Jama Masjid, Palace of Jodha Bai, Birbal Bhavan and more.
Later, enjoy a beautiful road trip to Jaipur. On your arrival, check in at the hotel. Relax for a bit and get ready to explore the city.
Visit Albert Hall Museum and laud its rich collection of artifacts.
Return to the hotel for a flavorful dinner and an overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 06 – Jaipur
Enjoy a succulent breakfast and get ready for another exciting day. Today’s plan includes sightseeing in the Pink City Jaipur. Experience royal grandeur with an exciting elephant ride at Amber Fort. Listed as one of the hill forts of Rajasthan, a UNESCO World heritage Site, the fort is an incredible showcase of Rajputana architecture with Mughal touches.
We’ll take a short stopover at the iconic of Jal Mahal and enjoy the scenic beauty of Man Sagar Lake.
Next, we’ll explore the City Palace located in the heart of Jaipur, inhabited by the royal family. Opposite to City Palace stands Jantar Mantar. Also known as the Royal Observatory, it houses a collection of astronomical instruments and has the world’s biggest stone sundial with an error margin of only 2 seconds. Later we’ll take a selfie stopover at Hawa Mahal also known as the Palace of Breeze.
End your day by strolling through colorful markets of Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar famous for textiles, handicrafts and Jewellery
Head back to the hotel for a lip-smacking dinner and an overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 07 – Jaipur – Delhi
Enjoy a healthy breakfast. Today we’ll return back to Delhi. You’ll be transferred to the International Airport for your departure with fond memories of the Golden Triangle Circuit.
